Dr. Zhang earned her PhD in Pathology from Peking University in 2016 where she built bioinformatics tools for disease network analysis and prediction models for cancer therapy sensitivity using high throughput genomics and proteomics data. Then she obtained her PhD in Statistics from University of Texas at Dallas in 2020. During her PhD training in UTD, Dr. Zhang's research projects focused on statistical modeling in microbiome and cancer medical image analysis and her work was presented in international conferences and contributed to several publications. Besides mentoring undergraduates in research projects, Dr. Zhang also taught graduate courses including Advanced Statistical Models and Applied Multivariate Analysis.
