Dr. Khalfani earned a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania, from which he also earned a Graduate Certificate in African Studies. He studied isiZulu, Afrikaans and southern African History at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. He is the Director of the Center for Global Education and Experiences, Director of the Africana Institute and Associate Professor of Sociology at ECC. He is currently teaching courses in Religions and Sociology.
